TRS Pro not staying in tune - please read

Hi, I have a TRS Pro tremolo which is going out of tune every time i use it. I have tried to fit an OFR pro but
1) The plugs are a different size (not too much of a problem)
2) I decided to use old plugs + studs to put it in with and then I realised, the trem won't fit in (hits the bottom of the cavity where goes inward towards the fine tuner area)! The studs are slightly offset as the TRS knife edges aren't exactly in line if you know what I mean.
So, what do I do? Please help me!

you can route or file it out. a original floyd rose(not the pro) should fit. i put one in with out any mods.
i did have to remove a bit of wood on another guitar once and used a dremmel tool. came out ok.
