the HAM does not come with a trussrod cover, you get used to it.

When I take one off, I don't put it back on. (Hafta explain that when I sell them :P )

My 90 and JCs don't have 'em, never bothered me.

I cut my own mirror cover for my Universe and a green mirror one for an RG550 that has a green mirror pickguard so those look pretty cool. The plain black plastic ones are kind of ugly though.

Yeah. I usually leave em off. But I hate when I ibanez doesnt paint the trussrod cavity. ARRRRRRGGHHHHHHHH. I think pearloid covers look SO GOOD though. They really make the headstock stand out. Do you guys know where I can order a pearl trussrod cover for my rgs?

This really sucks, I can't get my cover off. I tried unscrewing the screws and only one comes out. Strange, cause I have taken it off at least twice before for cleaning, now it won't come off again... Any suggestions?

The wood is stripped, get a fingernail under the edge of the screw and pull up as you unscrew it.

I've been leaving it off recently on one of the DBK's since that's the one that leaves the house most. It's a convenience issue. I'm considering trying my hand at making replacements.

i hate covers.
all of my babes are naked, except for the circuitry cavity covers: they look way more pro and player, and i can set them up without all those millions screws to be unscrewed.
also, i love to screw the retainer-bar all the way down, a hair away from the headstock surface.
