tung oil over basswood?

I have an RG 517 body that I just finished sanding down to bare wood. I was wondering if anyone has pictures of how a tung oil finish looks over basswood. I'm wondering how much it darkens it?

I appreciate any help you might be able to give

It depends on how many coats you put on it. Mind you, basswood doesn't accept stain too well.
