Tuning Instability

I'm having a few tuning issues with my DBK.

It started when I switched from an e.b. skinny top, heavy bottom set tuned to d to a hybrid set tuned to e. Now after every song the guitar is flat and I have to re-tune. Usually after 3 or 4 songs I have to crack the locking nut and re-tune from there.

I have had the dbk from new and never had any problems like this before.

I have done all the usual stuff, I am not a noob with floyds. As far as I can tell it's set up fine, the trem angle is good, 3 springs in the back, another set of stings to make sure they weren't the culprit (well stretched with the trem set before locking the nut down like discribed on Rich's set up pages)

I reckon there are 2 likely possibilities

1) knife edges

2) weirdly, trem springs

Anyone else have these problems before ?

Cheers

If you have done all the "good floyd rose's man things" then it could be exactly what you said.
Control the knives, they should be just a little bit rounded, if it's all right you could always try to change the springs, but before, try tightening every trem screw that hold the saddles in place...

Strange, that DBK's quite a new model. I've an '89 77FP and I've had it for ten years now. Still stays great in tune. I've just replaced the springs once.
