tuning problem on new 7dbk

I have a slight problem keeping my 7dbk in tune. The strings(9.5-44) have just been changed, but I've stretched them for a couple of days without locking the nut screws, so I don't thikn thats my problem.
And there is this odd thing...when the guitar is in tune, and I depress the whammy, the strings get out of tune. However, if I then pull the whammy away from me, the strings are in tune again. Almost as if the tremolo can't pull the strings back to the correct pitch.
Anyone know what I can do with this?

check the underside of each nut pad, check for burrs or something, then check the trem springs and, if needed, replace them with a new set.
be sure you lock the pads in the right way, you should see kind of ^^^ in a body-toward-headstock sight, and tighten them firmly.
also be sure the retainer-bar sits the lowest as possible and, if needed, take the truss-rod cover away.

hope this will help you, let us know.

Hmm.. seems to me that the knife edges of your trem are the problem. Take the trem out and see if theres significant wear on them.. is your guitar really 'new' or did you buy it 2nd hand?? cause factory-new guitars shouldn't have that problem..

Probably knife edges, but until you run through the whole checklist... Evidently you'd didn't go where you were sent in the other thread you started

okey..took my jem back to the repairs. he wasnt really sure, cos is was an odd problem. Anyhow, he placed one of the springs in an 'half' arrow position. It made the guitar stay in tune better. It could also be a wear and tear problem, that I had to use the guitar a little. Anyway..it works fine for me now

So he increased the tension applied by the springs?- Just having a hard time visualizing.
Hope it works out for you, but it still sounds like you had / have bad trem posts / knife edges, and the increased spring tension is only compensating for this problem.

yeah. Definitely sounds bad. You dont want to leave it in an arrow position as it limits your flutter a good bit.
