Hey guys,
I have a 2000
RG3210 I bought a few months back on the bay and I gutted it immediately and sold all the parts except for the neck and body and core things such as switches pots, screws etc.
I know I know, "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT EFNLKHGWKLAHGK!@#@!!"
Well I'm a dumb 19 year old kid who wants to use his minimum wage job money to get his guitar exactly how he wants it.
Here's a link to how it looked stock. (Let me know if it doesn't work)

I originally wanted to change out the board for a blank ebony board with maybe a custom inlay from frets 11-13 by ET guitars with natural binding to match the body and modding the headstock to have natural binding as well as flamed maple veneer to match.
The body and headstock to be refinished purple,
gold hardware and a D activator X and a sustainiac.
PROBLEM: This would cost me a buttload and would be slow progress. And I'm not sure after thinking about it, if I actually want to do a board change, ET's seem clean enough but the frets seem rounded similar to the J. Custom line.
What are your guys' thoughts on it? Just refinish the body and leave the neck alone and put in the hardware I want and leave the neck woodwise stock?
Or go all out and mod the hell out of it? I trust Ernies work from testimonies and such.
Sorry for all the text, just want some advice from seasoned elders.
Thanks!
