Re: URGENT trem and pickup questions

As far as I know, you cannot replace a TRS with an Edge, it doesn't fit -- you gotta hack the body up.

Heres your diagram, which is all over the Dimarzio website.
http://www.dimarzio.com/media/diagrams/C.pdf

2 seconds of research will get you all you need, urgent or otherwise.

Most likely there not. But it's usually pretty easy to figure it out. Never used/seen a BL pup, but if it's 4 conductor then no prob.

On Dimarzio, green and bare are always grounded, and black and white always go together, and red is hot as well. No doubt your BL came with descriptions of which wire is what, so from there it's just working it out.

I actually just wired a Breed bridge to my SG about an hour ago. Good luck to ya.

That's true unless you have (2) pickups are out of phase. If this happens, then you have to reverse the red and green wires so green will go to hot and red and bare go to ground. Just something to be aware of.

Re: URGENT trem and pickup questions

I can tell you from wiring up a Bill Lawrence that it differed slightly from my Dimarzio. Basically:

Dimarzio green = Bill Lawrence black
And of course Dimarzio Black = Bill Lawrence green.

The rest are the same.

If ya have a look on Project Guitar, there is a tutorial - you need to check is the stud holders are the same size as the existing ones, and if they're in the right place. Have a look here: http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/trs2lopro.htm
