Very light scratch in black body

Hi,

I've made a very light scratch in the back of my 77BRMR (yes, I'm an idiot) - refitting the springs and the pliers went flying.

Its very light but nonetheless has shown through white below.

Its very very thin indeed.

What would be a good recommendation to cover this up? I've considered Sharpie, and the black polish that you use on cars which "melts" the paint very slightly. (I've used the white version of this to great effect on 7VMHs before).

I have heavier grade guitar polishes but almost everything I consider would risk degrading the paint around the scratch.

Any tips would be most appreciated.

Jamie

If you leave it as is, the scratch will remind you to be careful every time removing or replacing the trem

And how did the pliers go flying? I have trouble with a spring occassionally.

I'd leave it. Otherwise you can give the automotive scratch remover a go.

Spring popped out of other side while I was attaching it to trem block I think. Either the pliers or the sharp edge of the spring tang just grazed the paint.

I would just leave it, except....I have one of those personalities.

Black superglue or automotive touch-up paint.
