Waiting for my love...

While waiting for my new JEM 7VWH (must wait SIX MONTHS!!!!!!!!!! :angryfire: ), iīll go on mostly with my RG 560, and decided to change bridge pickup. Of course Dimarzio is the election but iīm not sure which one. My all-time favourite sound is Steveīs in Passion and warfare and with Whitesnake. He used to play Universes (blaze pickups) so a Steveīs special, which is nearly the same seems the right one. Do you agree? Maybe evolution, maybe paf pro, maybe tone zone or Steve Morseīs????
Thanx.

If I remember correctly Steve was still using the paf pro in bridge and neck position by passion and warfare. *The Steve's special pup is the Petrucci pup, and I dont believe it'll get you near that type of tone. *The steve's special is wired to have a bit of a mid scoop for a tighter tone, not a midrangy tone like evos or even a tone zone. *I'd suggest getting either a paf pro bridge position humbucker or evolutions. *Of course the tone zone is always a fantastic pup, very fat tone. *It's not quite as loud as the evolutions but i think it has a very nice tone in basswood.

I donīt agree. He used paf pros on his jems, but the guitar he used most was the UV. I know he recorded (for example) "for the love of god" with a white UV. At dimarzio.com if you compare blaze and steveīs special they seem the same. But maybe iīm wrong and its not. I donīt know. Thanx anyway.
