Warmoth neck VS JS neck

How is the Warmoth Standard neck shape compare with the JS neck?

The spec of the Warmoth stand seems close to the JS neck

Warmoth standard:

1st Fret - .800 (20.32mm) 12th Fret - .850 (21.59mm)

JS
(1997) 20.7mm 22.0mm
(2000) 20.0mm 22.0mm

The specs seem very similar, and not having played a Warmoth neck I cannot be confidednt in my answer.
But I think things will feel quite the same, your thumb and the gap between your thumb and first finger are what really make contact and matter with necks.
Anything after that is down to the fretboard radius.
The Warmoth neck is probably not multi radiused like the JS neck (although atually I know they do them), but to be truthfull I don't really think the mutli radius makes much difference if you're a confident player.

What you can be assured of is that Warmoth do make very high quality necks and even if it takes a little extra practice to play what you want to you will be a better player for experiencing it on more than one neck profile.

Warmoth's standard IS a compound radius, from 10" to 16". I forget the JS' range.

I have Warmoth necks on a few Yamaha Pacifica 921s, and they rock. I think they MIGHT be *slightly* thinner than Warmoth's standard; I'm not sure.
