Question

Weird Sounding mods

I was wondering what anyone knows about the "kill switch" that Buckethead uses on his Les Paul (I assume thats what the weird thing he's always reaching for is) and the odd guitar that Trey from Phish uses on the Oysterhead song "Johnny Came Back from Vietnam" (I believe that's what it's called). Trey sports antlers on the guitar and gets an effect similar to a Thermin device.

Re: Weird Sounding mods

well the killswitch on Buckethead's guitar is exactly that... a killswitch

it's a momentary switch, so when you hold it down it kills the sound and it springs back to the up position and returns to having sound again. That's how he get's that super fast staccato sound with it.

no idea about the Phish guitar

Re: Weird Sounding mods

i´ve always wanted a reverse killswitch that only worked with the pup switcher in the middle position... so that it is silent until you press it down, and when you release it, it springs back up... i imagine having alot more control of it like that...

Can't install anything if I don't know where to buy the actual switch.
