Weird Tuning Problem

Hey guys I have an Ibanez rg2570 setup by Rich and today I was playing and noticed my G string was out a little, the tremolo was still perfectly setup and everything. I used the fine tuner which about 4 turns from being all the way down, then my other strings went out of tune so I compensated but I kept having to make big adjustments, so I turned the fine tuners back to 0 and loosened the nut. Then I tuned from my tuners, but after I got it all perfectly in tune the tremolo is now angled wrong, it is pulling towards the strings. Why was it perfect and all of a sudden the same strings are pulling on it harder for the same notes?

Re: Weird Tuning Problem

You could have just emailed for tech support

Without seeing it all I can suggest is to dial everything back in. The final adjustments only last until it needs adjusting again, guitars are made of wood ya know

No idea why the intonation would be out on the E though, I seriously doubt the saddle has moved as tight as I make sure they are.

yeah I got the trem perfect but the E is definitly out in intonation now, and trust me I would of been able to tell if it was before it is weird because it is just a tiny bit sharp, At about the 4th fret it starts going a very small bit out then after about the 7th fret it is about as sharp as if you palm mute a little too far back so it goes sharp. Also I just used my tremolo and it went out of tune again but only a tad bit. I have the saddle and nut locked down perfectly so idk what could be going on.

Re: Weird Tuning Problem

If the E was that sharp the saddle would be at the edge if not past the baseplate.

Are you sure you're following correct lockdown procedure?

Maybe you didn't stretch the strings enough.

Re: Weird Tuning Problem

Then detune the E, move the saddle 1/2mm toward the tail, and retune until it's back in tune, although for the life of me I don't know how it would be running sharp now. One thing about guitars is, you can't explain everything, just correct it when it happens.
