What colour to give it?

Hey there guys. As you know i'm fairly new to the site. I have just started modding my grx70 (gio) which was gloss black to start off with, standard spec etc etc. NOw i've sanded the body down and removed all pup's and trem and cut out to fit an edge pro 3 with sits perfectly now. Now i'm going for a cracked black effect on the body but want to ask what colour i should on underneath, i.e plum, red, etc etc. Any ideas guy? Pics will be up soon.

OK, just had a look over the tinterweb about swirling. I'm gonna do it. I'm thinking black, red and white for the swirl. now what base coat do i need for the body before swirling? (priming it i mean)

Usually white is the swirl base coat. For that crackle finish, you could use just about anything bright and neon as a base and it would look cool with a black top coat. I think he crackle finish is a bit dated at this point though, but you could always bring it back
