What else could it be???? - Helping a friend with tuning pro

Hi folks,

I was helping a friend with his guitar that has a lo-pro edge trem on it...He was having the same problems I was in regards to the tuning going flat when he would use his trem and then going back in tune when he fluttered or pulled up...

OKay I know u've all heard of that problem before..But the thing is I tightened everything and it still didn't fix the problem...When I tightened my set screws and the nuts and what not on the neck my problems were fixed in regards to tuning, however his guitar still has the same problems...

What else could it be???? I've tightened everything feasible, the guitar is fairly new so I know its not the knife edges or trem post...Any one have any other solutions? *Maybe add another spring in the back??? He's got 9's on it from what I can tell so I don't see why it would need 4 springs...

Damn dood didn't send his warranty card in so I'm not sure if he's covered...

Okie thanks for any help

>>>ARGH!!! I wish I was a genious techie<<<<

If it's fairly new you do have to worry about the knife edge. Gotoh has finally addressed the problem but there are many trems out there that have flat knife edges on the bass side (I've even seen a few on the trebble) Pull it and check it.
