What is Ebonizing???

Well, that pretty well sums it up!
All i know is that it turns your board black. Sounds good, i'd like to do it to my scalloped Schecter neck. But what do you actually use to ebonize it??? And how do you do it? Will it cover up inlays?
Thanks,
-*-ben-*-

"Ebonizing" is just a fancy word for "staining". You can use various different kinds of stain to achieve the effect. Stains may or may not have an effect on your inlays... you may have to do a bit of experimentation.

I have an idea of what you're talking about, but are you referring to a specific product or a service provided by someone?
