Yup,
The best way to match up current inlay material is to just take a look at what YOU have. *Get a digital camera pic or something and send it to me at
beau@fretware.com and I'll take a look at it. *Even better, if you have a flatbed scanner, take a scan of the fingerboard (easier to get a really good pic that way). *Paua abalone is the most abundant of all and is usually what guitar makers use if they are watching their dollars. *If it's a high-end instrument, then they are likely to use Red abalone because it costs nearly double.
I don't have red abalone in Fretware, but can usually find something in my stock to match up pretty good.
