When changing gauge is a new setup required?
Hi all,
I'm thinking of changing my string gauge from a heavy bottom/skinny top combination to a more general light/medium setting.
My question is- and I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere but I couldn't find it- should I take my guitar in for a pro set-up job beforehand, tailored for the new gauge. The guitar has been set up before for the gauge I'm no longer going to use. So basically I'm wondering if that previous set up would have to be adjusted for new strings or if a set up is something that only needs to be done once with a new guitar just to iron out all the deficiencies in the individual guitar.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice
Ryan.
