when taking a tone knob out of your guitar....

is it ok to leave the wires inside as long as the ends are covered, or should the guitar be completely rewired?

just take out the wire that goes from the volume pot to the tone pot (lug to lug) and that will kill the tone pot...

the other wire(s) are grounding, and you should take them out if youre going to take out completely, if only to keep the wiring neat...
