Where to buy shorter, or higher tension springs

Hey guys, I am looking to buy some shorter or higher tension springs for my Edge Lo Pro tremolo. Anyone know where I might find these? I am currently using 4 springs for .10 gauge strings tuned to Eb. I would like to only use 2 or 3 for a less stiff trem feel.

Thanks!

The site above only has fender vintage springs.

I too am after higher tension springs & unfortunately according to Ibanezrules Rich can't accept Paypal if you're transfering funds via credit card.

If anyone else knows of a place please do post.

Re: Where to buy shorter, or higher tenstion springs

Wouldn't 3 high tension springs give the same feel as 4 low tension?

Theoretically (seems to me) tuning 6 springs to a certain pitch will cause a total upward tension force X on the trem.

To balance that force, the springs must pull down at the same tension force X

Lower tension (softer) springs have a lower tension rate - example 20 lbs pull per inch stretch versus 30 lbs pull per inch stretch.
String pull rate is basically constant regardless of the inches pulled.
To have a softer feel, you should use softer springs pulled to a longer distance (long enough to balance the trem).

Have you tried 3 of your 4 springs with the claw screwed further in?

I'm not sure if these springs are what you are after, but I've bought these from this guy and they seem higher tension than standard Ibanez springs. bay# 360007254061

Actually, I know a place where you can get them in Australia...

http://luthierssupplies.com.au/produ...roducts_id=427

I was about to order from here until I realized that shipping would be absurd to the US.
