which floyd rose?? im so confused. i hate low TRS2

ok, ive searched through this forum for the last 2 days and im more confused than ever. i have an ibanez rgt42 and i hate the low TRS2 that came on it. i have to replace it but im not willing to rout my guitar so that puts low pro and edge trems out of the question. im going to get a floyd rose as from this forum i have learned it will fit into my rout cavity. can someone tell me will the floyd rose pro fit into my guitar without modifications?? i really want this low profile one but if it wont, il have to get a floyd rose original. also, what nut width do i need to specify when ordering my trem?please help as i dont know what to do.thanks all

no, the floyd rose pro is not a direct replacement for trs

1) the Floyd Rose Pro only comes with LONG block, you have to cut it ( you have to find someone to cut it......it is made of stainless steel!)

2) it requires a bit routing, not much, but enough to make me feel regret of buying the floyd rose pro

I thought the Floyd Pro was direct too... anyone know if the trs and trsII have the exact routing dimentions? Maybe the FR Pro only fits one of the 2.

Anyone else went trough this conversion?
