Which trem type wears the best?

Chrome, cosmo, black, whatever. Which Lo-Pro 7 do y'all think would last the longest?

Chrome and black will last the longest, and are about even in durability.

cosmo black is bad for wear. I was noticing some wear on a brand new 3120 in a store. Just from test playing and it wasnt a year old. It was a 2002 that I was having problems with earlier.

hopefully my 2003's hardware will fair better.

I also noticed that my 570's cosmo black hardware was fading. I don't get pitting or anything that bad, but the cosmo tint is fading off and some parts are now somewhat nickelish in color. Still not complaining of course. Just FYI.

I've had a chrome Edge on my 1990 550 for better than 11 or 12 years, and the bridge itself is actually pre-1987.

It still looks as good as the day I put it on finish-wise. The knives are worn (now filed) but the chrome is nearly perfect.

The original trem was black, so the other hardware is still black and still looks good. A little matted on the tuners from use, but still in tact.

The cosmo black on my 1999 520 (that I've only had for less than a year) is already showing wear where my hand rubs the bass side.

Cosmo looks cool, but if you plan on playing your guitar don't expect it to last. It comes off pretty quick from what I can tell.

I don't have corrosive sweat or anything like that either, strings last a long time for me as proof of that. Cosmo wears faster, plain and simple. :-(
