Fanned Fret guitars are actually more comfortable to play than straight frets because the fretboard follows the natural angles of your hand.
Supposedly it takes about 1/2 an hour to an hour to get used to it.

Heres a video of a multiscale (the makers version of the fanned fret, he works out the scales differently) made by Perry Ormsby; probably the best luthier in Australia.

well, looks dumb to me. im sure in theory it works great, but really....i would rather just 98% intonation as opposed to fighting with one of those to pick up the other 2%. Ghastly....
