Why was my thread locked?

What would you have had me search for? "wierd pulsating sound thingy on my jem?"

2, the thread you linked me to didn't solve my problem, as the pickups are nowhere near too close to the strings.

Rude...

Re: Why was my thread locked?

I suspect your thread was locked because it was in the incorrect forum - like this thread is. This is a tech question. Think before you post please.

Re: Why was my thread locked?

Wow, who'd have thought posting about a Jem7vwh in the "JEM and Universe Guitars" forum would've been out of place.

Excuse the hell out of me..

Re: Why was my thread locked?

Because it IS a tech question. And with that attitude maybe you should try the Harmony Central forum, where you'll be introduced to a whole new version of "rude".

Re: Why was my thread locked?

Sorry for trying to help. Not sure what else you expected other than an honest answer.

As for you guitar, I made an educated guess as to what might be wrong and suggested a solution, had you been less obnoxious I might have continued to assist you in solving the problem.

Re: Why was my thread locked?

Algiman, I wasn't upset at you, I'm sorry if my post conveyed otherwise. I do appreciate the attempt to help.

It just kinda bugs me that I sift through hundreds of "thanks Rich" posts, hundreds more "congrats myself i got a jem" posts, and who knows how many more "help me I can't set up a floyd" posts that don't get tampered with at all, yet I ask a legitimate and relatively obscure question that couldn't possibly be resolved with search (as I DID try to do) and my post is locked down before ANYONE other than you can respond to it. Truly, who'd have guessed that you weren't supposed to post about a Jem guitar in the "Jem and Universe" forum? As I never read the "tech" forum (although I did search it for relavant posts related to my topic) I just assumed it was more of a modification and repair forum, than a place to look for possible defects in brand new guitars.

How SHOULD I react sir?

Re: Why was my thread locked?

I also find it really funny that while this thread has nothing to do with technical issues, it was moved to the "tech" forum, while the original thread remains locked in the "Jem and Universe guitars" forum.

Unbelievable.

I'll not track "mud" through your precious "house" again.

Re: Why was my thread locked?

I'm not sure i'd call myself a "new" poster, I've been around a while, I just refrain from posting when I don't have anything relevant or profound to add.

Second, if this is how new people can expect to be treated, I can see why.

Re: Why was my thread locked?

you can understand being frustrated but this is a silly way to take it out on members here without spending 90-seconds doing multiple forum searches.
