Will it fit?

My friend has just bought a Peavey Predator and the tremolo seems to go out of tune pretty easily, do you guys think a gotoh, schaller, ofr or pro floyd would fit in the route? If you want measurements I can find some or do some later I think a floyd may fit by looking at it. Oh and it is lefty

Re: Will it fit?

Well ... if it is a "strat" style trem, like I think it may be, you would have to route for a newer Floyd. I am not sure if an OFR would be something to invest in for a Predator though, but I do not believe you would have to do any routing (correct me if I am wrong on that guys). Plus you would have to put a locking nut on it, behind the current nut and that can lead to problems, even though I myself have done it before. If it was mine, I would just get a "licensed by FR" and route it. but a lefty FR I can't even begin to tell you where to look, except Pierre's site (evilbay)

Re: Will it fit?

yeah, so I was asking if anything would just drop in. srry for me not stating that, or anything that would require minor cutting

Re: Will it fit?

If it's a floyd with a locking nut and it's going out of tune I would look at the springs/trem claw and maybe adjust those a bit, or check the studs. Other than that, I have never used anything but Floyd and now the Lo Pro, so I can't be any help with picking a different one out ...
