WIZARD II on the RGT42's, and a edge II trem question?

Is it just that these are painted and have binding
or are these a bit thicker(from back to front) than the other wizard II's necks like on the RG 320fm?
also is there any real high quality trem that will retrofit a edge II with no mods?

Actually BLAKK:JAKK is right. I can feel and see the difference of 1 mm easily, but it could be because I build guitar's so therefore I handle them more than just being a guitarist that play's. After doing things that require a lot of measuring your eyes and hand's become more like human gauges, but I could always feel the difference even before I built guitar's. If the paint is 1 mm thick on the neck, whoever painted it didn't know what they were doing. Even on anything that's painted I don't understand why these painter's will do a bazzillion coats more than necessary, it just causes the paint to chip a lot bigger than if the coat was the right thickness.

How do you have a wizard 2 usa? Only the us custom's were ever made in the united states, and even then they didnt have the wizard 2 profile. Also the jem neck itself is actually rather large as compared to the wizard 2 so your statement says that the jem neck = slow? Right :P But i do agree i can definitely notice the difference in neck sizes.

RGT42 is a good guitar. EP2 is fine. not really worth swapping out and putting on a guitar like the RGT42.

I think i've seen someone fit an edge pro inside the ep2 cavity using the old studs and it worked fine, no routing necessary.

i have seen the two models here in my country, the black one and the lavender, which is a pretty cool color if you take a close look, but the trem is my only concern. any comments on this?

Re: WIZARD II on the RGT42's, and a edge II trem question?

Hey sorry to hijack, but it ties in. I have an RGT that I'll probably sell soon, because I just got an '86 neck through Proline. But before that, I had some ideas for my RGT. First I was going to remove the finish off the back of the neck, making a smooth Carvin/Jackson finish line in the paint at the transition. I would strip the back of the head, too, meaning I'd lose the serial number, etc. Then I was considering routing it for an Edge variant. The neck is a Maple/Mahogany laminate and would look really cool stripped. I could also shave a little off to get it more to Wizard contours. The question is, if I'm going to sell it, does that make it worth more or less to guys like you? I would think more, but I don't want to do the work and have it be a waste of time.

So yeah it's a hijack, but we're talking about the same deficiencies in the RGT line, and all you guy seem to agree with my sentiments of what you could do to really improve an RGT.
