Wood Difference

Alright guys what are some of the tonal differences between mohogany and basswood? I'm gunna try and start up my project of a new JS and want a nice wood. I hear mohogany is great. Think I should do a neck-thru-body thing too?

anybody? tonal difference between basswood and mohogany? I checked out Warmoth and they give a good description of basswood but say almost nothing about mohogany. Is it warmer? is it "heavier"? is it brighter?
