Wood stain touching up
I have an S520 OL that has a little knick/scratch in the finish whatever you want to call it. Would it be best to touch it up with wood stain, or is it a different kind of material for the finish? Here is a pic

Thank you

Stain marker:

Blend fill pencil:

These are your best bets. Just try and get a color that closely matches the color of the guitar.
I'm almost positive that the guitar has a clear coat on it and if you just went ahead and stained it it would not be good. You would have to isolate the area, steel wool it a good bit, then re-stain it. Its gonna be tough to get the colors to match up though. I suggest using the marker or blend fill pencil. You can find them both at home depot. Just still wool the area lightly then use it and it should be good.

Re: Wood stain touching up
It has a tung oil finish, just touch it up with a bit of that.
