Thumbs up

Yes i fixed my whammy problems!

HI this could help you out.

I had some big problems with my whammy after pull downs and pull ups.

IT wouldn't come back in zero position and in tune.

I tried blue steel, fender, GHS, D'addario etc strings, nothing helped.

First i tried 09-42 all brands. Then i tried 010-46 all brand.. still not in tune after whammy abuse. Far away from in tune.

Then i tried D'Addario 010-52... wow now i can abuse the whammy the whole day and it still in tune at night.

So for me i fixed my whammy problem by trying D'Addario 010-052.

If you have problems with a whammy that wont stay in tune try the 010-052.

It could help you.. its worth trying. OOHH you need 4 springs i think.

Sorry for my bad english... Hope you understand what i wrote.

All the best guys.

Isn't it maybe that putting 10-52 on your guitar it took your trem angle to the optimal angle letting it return to zero? or did you always adjust it after putting on the different gauges?
Did you always stretch the strings befora playing because the thickest the strings are, the less you need to stretch them
Sorry if the questions are stupid but if not it could let you to use thinner strings

Re: Yes i fixed my whammy problems!

Hi Yes i stretched the strings in every string change and the angle of tremolo was in the right position everytime.

The neck was adjusted and the angle was in perfect position always with the trem block straight with the body.

It seems that the balance became perfect with the 10-52.

Why it didnt work with 09-42 and 010-46 i dont know but it worked with 10-52.
And i use 4 52mm spring with tree in a row from the 52 and for the 010 i have the spring in a half arrow formation. Like 1 2 3 none 4.

One thing is sure i am a happy guitar player now.

congrats! i didn't think string guage had anything to with the stability of the trem, but at least you got your problem sorted out.
