ZR bar problem

Ok, I have an RG 2570 I bought this last winter. The newer ZR's have a snap in type bar instead of the threaded. Well......the bar dosen't snap in anymore. It just falls out. The collar can tighten or loosen but the bar never snaps into place. Any thoughts? I live over 100 miles from the nearest repair shop and I really don't want to go without a back-up here for a month or 2 while it's in the mail and then god knows what happens to it. Any toughts or prayers? I can't much fix a ham sandwhich so I hope it's not too complicated.

There's a clip spring at the tip of the arm holder that "snaps" the bar in and keeps it in. That's what you want to check.

yeah, there's a little screw that keeps the snap thing in place. you just need to tighten it every now and again.
