7 String with Piezo?

would anyone else think it a good idea for Ibanez to release another production 7 String with Piezo electronics? Possibly J Custom? I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I've had my eye on a Music Man Petrucci sig for a while, as they come in 7 String + piezo varieties... But if I could get my mitts on an Ibanez 7 + piezo? I know which I'd rather.

Seems like loads of people go in for the Music Man guitar, so it certainly seems like there's a market out there for 7 String + Piezo guitars.

I know the 2027 was discontinued, but that was quite a while ago, so maybe it's a different market now?

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

YEAH!!!!!!!

ow and while they're at it:

Give it an UV neck with reversed headstock, maple fretboard with sharktooth inlay (matching). Output jack like the UV. Let them put two Evolution pup's in it. And paint it LNG.

I would totally buy it.

Almost forgot, make it an Lo-Pro Edge

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

Nah, I wouldn't really care about the specifics of it. Just throw a piezo bridge into an RG1527 and be done for all I care, I'd buy it.

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

That's usually the problem when tossing up threads like these. People post their ultranarrow niche dreamguitars and the original point gets lost somewhere along the way...
For those who need it, I guess a Piezo-equipped sevenstring would be very nice. A 1527 with Piezo would do just fine. Me personally, I'd love to see an RGT7421!

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

My ultimate 7 string piezzo guitar would have 6 strings, and no piezzo.

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

I'm a 2027 owner, and I agree that they are great. As was mentioned, I think they may be a niche market. I've been waiting for graphtek to come out with piezo, floyd, saddles to outfit another of my guitars. You can still find the 2020 and 2027 around, you just need to be patient. (Unless the color scheme wasn't your thing)

It is, but it's not your fault! It was more of a poke towards people who degenerate (important) threads like these into "list your dreamguitar"-bonanzas. As far as being on topic - bring back the old piezo 7's, or make a piezoed 1527 (looks like the best suggestion so far)!

Why don't you get a custom guitar built? Do you honestly think Ibanez are gonna build the guitar you suggested?

No, I like the colour scheme, nicer than the whole royale blue on the 1527.

The main problem is the price, and rarity of said instruments. I was was actually going to buy a 2027 just a couple of weeks ago when it came up on ****, but it ended up going for an insane amount, which was way more that I had, or was willing to pay.

Re: 7 String with Piezo?

Regular Production Prestige 7 with the Double Edge would be awesome!

Oiled Mahogany maybe
