Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

Hi guys! I submitted a sample RGA 7 string guitar ( looked like neck-through version of RGA 321 ) in Hoshino gakki's March guitar meeting. Everyone liked the sample guitar but Hoshino gakki was not committed to run the guitar as production model yet. I'm going to Japan and Indonesia in Jun to attend another guitar meeting so may be I can find out the status by then.
Love you all. Tak Hosono

These are just to give some ideas.
I just realized a that guitar with these specs (RGA + RGR + RGT) should be called RGART

EDIT: oh yeah, and RG7 too

Thanks Tak! I still hope it gets a trem though...

What's the point? They already offer the 1527, and it'd be going against the RGA ethos.

Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

the point is getting the 1527 with neck-thru and nice RGA body style.
this is what i'm looking for.
reversed headstock is a plus.

Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

@ TAK

why are you guys selling guitars (Apex1) for aboout 1700€ with a finish like that? I bought it 13 month ago and it looks like it would be 5 to 10 years old! Wood´s looking through finish and you get black fingers! I really like this guitar, actually it´s my no 1 of my 4 sevens. But this is a shame.

Okay, but that's Munky's guitar though..........

i guess the point is that i like trems and was hoping it might come with one, or at least with the option of having a trem or not, and also the RG1527 is basswood where as the RGA will not be (i assume maple neck/mahogany wings) so it will be very different tonally.

also as for going against the 'ethos' of the guitar it could be argued that bringing out a fixed bridge Xiphos 7 was going against the ethos of that particular range, im not going to go so far as saying that all guitars should have floyds on and anyone who wants a fixed bridge should just get a T-No, lol, that would be unrealistic but would it be too big an ask to have the option of having a trem or not on the RGA's? 6ers and 7's

When ive tried RGAs ive walked away thinking how awesome they were but always in the back of my mind theres a voice going 'if only it had a floyd', i care not for the ethos of a particular line of guitar model only that it suit my needs...

good lord i went off on a tangent there, anyway, not to humbug the prospect of a RGA7, the more sevens the better, it's just not for me if it hasn't a trem

Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

finally some more 7s

I hate the way there were loadsa 7s and then just like that

They all went down under

It'll be cool if they made something similar to chris brodericks 7 that hes using now

Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

+1 to the people who like the existing RGA321F but just want a 7 string version but with a reversed headstock.

If we're getting to fantasy land I'd add a maple fretboard and body matched headstock to that too and have it available with the normal bridge and a whammy.

I'd also upgrade the finish on the RGA bridge as the plating comes off in no time.

Re: A Prestige 7 String RGA

Guys, I only submitted a "sample guitar" to Hoshino Gakki. This does NOT guarantee the next year's production model. They did NOT promise anything.
The "RGA 7" production model is still a very long shot at this moment.
