Although I have to say it's a nice touch, especially with the shiny silver beveled edge against the black face, these are typically so rough on the underside that by their weight alone, when they slide out from under the strings they leave a nice little patch of scratches behind. Of course I file these flush and smooth after I get them off so it won't do it anymore, but the damage is already done with the first removal. The only way I can figure to get them out without the initial scratches is to do it with the guitar upside down, and this is about as awkward as it gets to say the least. Either start smoothing out the burrs on the bottom side of these aluminum covers or go back to the plastic covers. A plastic cover looks allot nicer on a scratchless head than an aluminum cover does on a very scratched head!!
