Beyond Basswood - All JEMs have are basswood! (except 7VWH)

Was there a reason why they restricted JEMs to basswood? The 7V is the only one with alder and I would love to hear what a 77 or 777 would sound like with alder. PAF Pros and alder.... yeah....

Every now and then this need clarification for the newbies. SSV (or any endorcee) has absolute control over EVERY feature of his model. If Ibanez wanted to make a mahogony bodied Jem and SSV didn't want to, it'll never be made. That's why you'll frquently get the retort "write vai.com for the answer", because Stevie is the one in control.
