Color shock - The trouble with tribbles

I absolutely love Ibanez guitars. After owning many and convincing myself that surely there must be somthing as nice or nicer out there, I've come to the conclusion that they just fit me. I want another, but just cant dish out the dough for a gunmetal, rootbeer, new penny color. My wish is for Ibanez to suprise us all with somthing exotic looking, or more in line with current color combo's next year. One can only have so many 7vwh's. The K-7 color choice? eeyuck!! What a stark contrast to the beautiful floral patterns that we love Ibanez for.

Color shock

Now that we've got some colors coming to this continent, let's not get greedy. :-)

Look for a pre-owned 3120 in either red or blue. *SWEET rides that can be had for less than a GC-priced "new penny" RG. *Keep looking around, and saving pennies.

I will also admit to being very drawn to Jackson's USA select series simply because of the colours they offer on all instruments.

I wonder if the possibility of offering "standard" model J-custom or Prestige guitars, basic S and RG body shapes with common pickup configurations (the H-H and H-s-H) with a large range of colour options isn't something Ibanez maybe shouldn't look into.

I know the re-opening of the USA custom shop isn't something Ibanez seems to want to get into, but I personally think that this is an area that Ibanez could expand into. *

Many folks seem quite content to wait several months to get hold of a Jackson soloist or a BC Rich guitar with their choice of finish, and I'm sure equal numbers would do the same for a top of the line Ibanez RG in their own choice of colour.

I definately would. And by the way, why not have optional single coil pickup in the middle for the RG7....
