the 540P was kind of an experiment from the Ibanez design team in Bensalem. they wanted to recall some Jackson models that had smaller body and wider nut. you can read from Rich Lasner (former Ibanez designer) about the 540P (wrongly called the P-II) HERE (scroll down until you see a yellow 540P thumbpic).

i love how they beveled the back edge of the longer horn, to increase hand access.

I'd have to buy one of those I'm afraid!

Oh, and what was the 'Rhythm6' you mentioned in a previous post?

Question

Re: Custom models pics from the Custom Shop?

Dear Mr. Hosono,

Why aren't there any production guitars with pyramids anymore? Why do we have to go to luthiers to customize out Jems with (once) standard Jem attributes?

I'm sure there is a market for a Jem 777 type reissue (both maple and rosewood fingerboards availability would be even better )

Best regards,

JP

Re: Custom models pics from the Custom Shop?

Yeah, I like the 540P, body is somewhat like the Jackson DEMON.

Will this be offered in '07? I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Re: Custom models pics from the Custom Shop?

That'd be sweet if you could offer that exactly as is in the picture, with LoPro and everything!

BTW, thanks for taking the time to share with us these pictures.
