Good News! - One HAPPY Customer!
I got this forwarded to me today from some friends at Hoshino. *Truly refreshing......
>My name is Arnold H. and I am an 18-year-old guitarist currently living in R•••••••, IL. I have been playing guitar for around 7 years and have owned quite a few of them in that period, but never actually purchased a brand-new one and I had never owned an Ibanez.
I had actually been avoiding getting an Ibanez at all costs. I had been a booking agent for local all-ages coffee houses and rock clubs, and with the advent of such bands as Offspring, Korn, and Limp Bizkit, it seemed everyone and their mothers were playing
Ibanez guitars
and basses when they played here. I was going between brands for a while trying to make my own voice on the instrument and attempting to not only sound different but also look different than everyone else.
In my quest to do this, I ran into a rut. As much as I practiced, which was every waking moment when I wasn't at work or school, I just couldn't seem to bring myself to excell at the instrument anymore. I wasn't getting anywhere, and I was often to be found plugging away at my guitar trying desperately to get better and surpass my present status. When I get to this point, I usually end up going around to the local music stores to try and find a good used instrument, but this time I wanted to take the plunge. I wanted a brand-new one!
I went to several stores and tried several guitars but never really found an instrument that was of a superior quality for the money I was looking to spend (what little of it I had). I had come very close, but there was always something nagging at me not to buy a particular instrument whenever I saw a good one. It was then that I walked into G••••••• Music in R•••••••, Il and picked up an Ibanez Jem7DBK for the absolute hell of it. To my delight, I fell in love with the instrument, and it fit me like a glove from the start. The strings rang out, the tone was superior to anything else I owned, that neck was as smooth as silk, and the LoPro Edge is by far the best
tremolo bridge
I have ever played.
I finally made the last payment on the Jem just four days ago, and save for work and school I have not put it down yet, and it almost feels as though this guitar is making me a better player.
Thank you for building $4000 instruments...at 1/4 the cost. Kudos.
Arnold H.
Let's all welcome Arnold to the family.
It's not only nice to see a happy customer, but also that Ibanez can appreciate such things.
(Names and places have been changed to protect the new JEM owner from being hassled by owners of lesser guitars.)

Good News!
If it fits wear it.
That is exactly why I play Ibanez. I have owned many brands, but the UV just fits me. I’ll be adding another one to my family very soon. Yup… I’m getting my black beauty a colorful sister to play with. (More at a later date and in a different thread.)
Cost and image are irrelevant to me if I really like the guitar.
