Hoshino USA #1 in Command Moves on - good luck JD!
Ibanez and Ibanez players have suffered a loss as
Jim Donahue
has stepped down from his position as "the guy" at
Hoshino USA
to fulfill a life-long dream. His tenure during the heyday of Ibanez in the USA was unprecidented and will be missed by many. Best of luck to JD... glen

I was with Ibanez for 18 years and I learned so many things. I also feel I contributed to many of the designs and improvements of the products. However I always had a dream of having a small shop and producing my own guitars and since I am not getting any younger it was time for me to move on.
I will say that my stress level has been greatly reduced but this is with any job. I still play Ibanez and I have nothing against Hoshino or Ibanez, I still feel they make the best guitars. However with two boys I want to be able to leave them something for the future that they can say they own. It will take a while to get out on my own, but that is life. I have a plan to go back to school for engineering and spend more time with my family and writing books. My book guitars, design production and repair is now available in paper back from
www.Booksurge.com
also I have the Ebook available for immediate download. You can see more information on it at

Many thanks to JD for his contributions to our favorite guitars!
All the best in pursuing that dream.
Looking forward to experiencing these new guitars: "100% USA made products at Import product pricing. Also we have a new design for pickups..."

although I can't say I've ever heard much about the dude, if he contributed to the design of
ibanez guitars
, I owe him many thanx, and a hearty handshake for good luck.
