Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Please sign the petition if you would like to see a better variety of colours from our favourite guitar manufacturer. As I write this, there are currently over 500 signatures. Once it reaches 1,000, I will send the petition to Ibanez, then again at 2,000, and so on. By the way, this petition is asking for COLOURS ONLY. Please don't post comments with your sig asking for silly things that won't happen (like floral patterns on RG's). I'm serious about this, and I'd appreciate it if people could try to keep it focused.

Thank you.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

I would bro but i've already signed it twice. Lol (147, 342).

I've gotten a few friends to sign it (accounting for about 20 other signatures) & also the numbers 423 to 426 are my family.

So i've got everyone involved.

Loch Ness Green, Desert Yellow & Shocking Pink need to be permanent colours.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Good man. It would be a good idea to avoid signing it twice, though. Better to have an accurate representation of the number of people who really want those colours or a better choice of colours overall.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

i think when Ibanez realises how fast those 1987 RG20ths will sell, they would wake up about the colors issue. yes, there's a black RG20th among those but i'm sure they would sell 1 on 10 in black.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Espescially since it has a rosewood board.

I know a fair few people who would buy a RG550 with Maple board & i know the original line was a rosewood boarded guitar, but yeah that wont sell at all.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

I think it will sell, but only because people can't get DY or RFR. They'll reluctantly "settle for a black one".

My advice to those people... send it to SCS and get it done in Loch Ness Green.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Ya know, I'm fairly certain I'm in the minority here but I prefer my guitars black or white or some combination therein (black with white pickguard etc). I actually want a 2550 that is plain black with a plain white pickguard .

However, I definitely support having more options and think that Ibanez is sorely lacking in this department right now. So...I signed this yesterday. Good lookin' out.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Thanks for signing. Just for the record, I like some black guitars, too. Especially black with white accents, binding, pickups, inlays, etc. My only problem is that most of the range only comes in black and doesn't offer us choice. That does seem to be changing, though, at last!

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Dee I signed you petition long ago. Anyone that isn't for more options is crazy. Ibanez is lacking in it's options. Color being one of them.

More power to ya bro.

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

Thanks S-man, and Jason, you're right. I don't think they'd have dared release the pink quilted nightmare (RGT320) a few years ago though. Seems that they are afraid to put any colour into the mid-range, we only get it on the high-end and low-end stuff instead. Thank god for the RG550 20th. Now if only they'd put it back into production full time, or at least bring out a version of the 2550 Prestige in DY or something... and with a maple board... and with a matched headstock...

Re: Ibanez Colour Choice Petition

I'm all for it!

However, on one condition. RFR and DY on pickguarded RGs only. (and S series...)
