It's not bright-bright but it sings all while having a punchy, growling, tight low end.

Actually, Rob Nishida is growing but I'm keeping my body weight fine. Hoshino USA did put my name and job title ( Guitar designer ???? ) on the latest catalog though.

yeah lol i actually agree with that. although i've grown accostumed to it now, i wouldn't mind quarter of an inch extrat of wood on those.

and J Custom RGA's!! although i doubt they'd sell well, as far as i see not even the prestige RGA's sell well. or am i wrong?
i'm happy with mine tho i'd only stick an Ultra shaped mahogany neck on it!

Maybe a reiissues of it will be fine just like the RG550.
I'd love to see a Radius reissue. I just don't see it happening, unfortunately. I'm such a negative bastard. Or maybe just realistic...

There was also a H-S pickup equipped Saber at one time. The 540S-SH, and it came in Lipstick Red! That's one guitar I'd love to get my hands on. Does anyone here have one?

Well.....if they were to read this thread then i would just like to give a big thumbs up for the RG20th

Maybe we could have a few more limited runs of long lost guitars that some of us still crave for

Is there any way to find out once and for all exactly how many Maxxas Guitars (MX2, MX3, MX4 and MX5 guitars were ever made). It would certainly clear up the confusion. I have heard anywhere from 300 to maybe 3000? What is correct?

Re: Ibanez, if you only read one thread here make it this one !!

Why would they keep it secret? Is there a good reason. I find it somewhat hard to believe that only 300 may have been made over a 3 year time frame. That is the only number I have read and that came from Rich Lasner (sp?) in his interview that is online about the Maxxas. I would love it if it were true since I own one. Also why is there such a "love it/hate it" mentality about these guitars. It is one of the finest crafted guitars I have ever owned or played. They really went all out in quality on these instruments.

Re: Ibanez, if you only read one thread here make it this one !!

Not that its a direct comparison, but there were a similar number of UVGR's and 540S7's from a similar production time period. (Duration - not concurrent dates obviously) I would be inclined to believe a 300ish run could be plausible. Just speculation on my part however.
