i think no one would keep it secret. simply, no one knows, except some guys who worked at Ibanez those days. and unluckily, no one ever asked them about it...

yeah, i know well that interview and i do believe Lasner was right. you must consider that the Maxxas wasn't a full-production model, it was just difficult and time-consuming to build and they decided to build, say, 1 of them every 100 other Ibanez guitars and basses, or so. who knows... 300 in 3 years means about 1 each 3 days, not so out of this world, to me.

Re: Ibanez, if you only read one thread here make it this one !!

Good answers guys. All make more sense than any other thoughts I have had or heard elsewhere. My old Custom Agent (2405) that I had was a pre-serial number in Cherry Burst color and was likely built in 1974. I found out it was the "rarest of the rare" color on a different Ibanez forum. I ended up selling it to a collector in New Jersey who was able to restore all the missing components and complete his collection of Custom Agents in every color! I saw a photo of the 5 guitars and they are beautiful. By selling it, I was able to get my Maxxas, a 1980 Fender 75 lead tube amp and some various "candy" to go with it. Since the CA was not playable to me, and the Maxxas plays like a charm, I figured a good deal all the way around. (Especially since I got the Maxxas from a guy who didn't know what he had!) I was going to flip the guitar on flea bay and make some extra cash but found out how sweet the guitar was when I cleaned it up and started playing. My 13 year old daughter also fell in love with the look and since she wants to be the next female shredder, I figured I should keep it. We will see what the future holds but if the production numbers are right, if someone were to make me an offer I can't refuse in the future, we will see. Guitar trading is too much fun to rule anything out.

Ash/Swamp Ash is outstanding for a 7 string guitar. I have 2 made of ash and the clarity and definition is excellent. Im eager to try maple for a body as soon as my Kamikaze 7 is complete.

Now we're talking!

How much longer until the Kami 7 is born dude? I'm itching to see it since you first mentioned it!

Matt said roughly 6 months which would put it in December, but I have a sneaking suspicion it will be more like 12+ based on the turn times I have seen from just about everyone else which would put it into Q2 2008.

Hello everyone !
Kudos for the greatest ibanez related forum, and kudos to mr.Hosono for taking the time to read this thread!

I am interested to know how you people adjust the intonation on your edges...From what i know the adjustment tool has been discontinued (at least thats what the dealer in greece tells me)...) Would it not be wise for ibanez to bring it back??

Yeah, the Edge intonation tool was discontinued, I believe, and since the Edge isn't fitted to any guitars nowadays (excpet the RG 20th), I doubt it'll be coming back. What is needed is an Edge Pro intonation tool, though. You can probably get an original Edge intonation tool from Rich Harris. There has never been an Edge Pro intonation tool.

Destroyers definitely need to come back. Paul Gilbert is playing them and that's enough of a reason. A Destroyer customized to Paul Gilbert's specs would be the tooootal shizzzz. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

P.S. I'm not cool with anyone saying "Jesus be damned". I'm not a fanatic, just want respect for others thats all. Old thread I know..but I had to say it.
