Re: Ibanez, if you only read one thread here make it this one !!
Id like to say that i love the old 570 but the rg1570s are extremely boing, i always thought that the 5xxs were the extravagant and bold models and the 6xx were supose to be humble but now there is no extravagant models in the prestigue range at all.
Id like to see some bold, bright colours(and more maple fetboards) in the prestigue range and not just in the MIK range.

The more people that ask for something, the more likely they are to get it.

that's true, but anything here is all about fancy colors and maple board, so it's not asking for "something", rather asking for the SAME things, over and over again. so, the correct sentence would turn like that:
"The more people that ask for the same things, the less likely they are going to read this section".
which is what we don't want. so, plz:
*STOP ASKING FOR BRIGHT COLORS AND MAPLE BOARDS. THEY ALREADY UNDERSTOOD THAT*

Thanks for you response Mr. Hosono, you rock! Any chance you can tell us what kind of graphic it's going to be? I'm going to make sure I get one as soon as they're out.

I'm sure that 99% of Jem site people are well aware of these little screws inside of the locking studs but rest of the world are not likely so.
#2 When the guitars were tuned to A-440 with light gage strings, these tremolo studs held up with somewhere around 200 lbs of string pressure, under that much of pressure these tremolo studs will not move anyways.
Hoshino Gakki's R&D team did a lot of home work regarding this issue. I know that some of you does not agree with our R&D team's findings but this is what they were concluded. However I personally agree with the Jem site's Glen that it is a good idea to keep the "locking studs" anyways so that Edge Pro owners have a choice.
Here's a bit of good news for you guys. R&D chief told me that
Edge Pro tremolo
project is "on going and evolving" and he promised to revisit this
locking tremolo
studs issue very soon. He's a good friend of mine and he's very much like one of us "guitar crazy" so let's wait to see what happens.
Okay guys? Please remember that I'm on your side. Best Regards,
Thanks Tak, we appreciate your support but I'd like to add a few things if it may help as we watch and wait
#1. at least RETURN TO INSTALLING THE OLD INSERTS with the bottom, even if you continue to use the current studs to avoid customer support issues. This way, one could purchase the locking studs with set-screw and have a much better guitar with no modifications, glue or drills... just a screwdriver and allen wrench. That would be a 100% improvement and also eliminate any "customer support concern" dealers or distributors might have. I can say with confidence that everyone here would support such a change and it would also get your dealers a few $$$ on part sales and an opportunity to talk to customers. This assums the locking studs (studs with set-screws) are widely available.
#2. string tension and experts aside, the studs can and imho do shift in many scenarios. One is a complete flattening of notes and quick release back to pitch where the sPrings completely slacken. I'd also wager heavily that over time with even mellow use the studs shift upon the loss of counter pressure (no more string tension) and subsequent return of tension (strings back to pitch)... the movement might be just a fraction of a millimeter perhaps, but there is some give there which when repeat that 1000x (over a few months) and now you have loose stud inserts in the body... all which could have been avoided.
Thanks again for your support... glen

What he said...perfect compromise.
Besides that btw, I'd like to see the old school trems (Edge / Lo
Pro Edge
) continued availability (perhaps as kit only) but I guess that would be pushing it.

Re: Ibanez, if you only read one thread here make it this one !!
Does anyone else think that stickying this thread is a bad idea? We've got a whole forum called "comments to ibanez" and now EVERY COMMENT is piled up in a 7 page thread. This isnt exactly a delight for Mr Hosono. I don't think he has to read all that. Let's get back to posting seperate threads with explanatory titles and then he could read whatever thread he wishes. No need to read "new colours for the RG range please" 700 times
