Ibanez JPM90HAM Model Problem...

Where a neck shim normally goes, as said before, in the neck pocket next to the neck pickup between the 2 neck screw holes.

Ibanez JPM90HAM Model Problem...

Well guys, I've stuck the d*amn
thing into a cupboard with a dehumidifier, and the neck did straighten itself out a bit... So it's now quit ok, though the action is a bit high for my taste compared to my XL...

The neck has also stoped shifting, but that's also because I play it a lot less now... I just don't know what to do with it. I'm afraid to play it for extended periods, and the neck is getting a bit weird to me, (I'm very used to my XL now), but I can't bear to sell it... nor give it away.

Anyone got any suggestions? Should I just pack it away? the tone is in beatable, but I'm afraid that if I play it too much, the problem will get worse...

Thanks anyways.

You have the opposite problem that I (and probably alot of people in the States) have - we're not humid enough - especially in the winter. *It will only help to keep the guitar cased (don't store it on a stand or hanging), and keep it in a humidity/temperature controlled room if at all possible. *I keep my music room at b/t 45 and 55% humidity year-round (fluctuates w/ the season and the subsequent heating/cooling cycle) and I have little to no problems. *They never leave that room. *When I was gigging in college and moving them around alot, each and every one had to be set-up each spring and fall - just too much variance in temp and humidity.

Good luck!
