Ibanez straps

As a happy owner of a new Ibanez Prestige rg2550ex-gk i must still complain. There's nothing wrong with the guitar itself but the biggest disappointment was the strap that came along with it. It's very good, wide and padded and neat looking but it cannot be adjusted enough. It's obvious that these products are designed for men but there are guitar playing women also. Even on it's shortest setting the strap is still too long leaving the guitar hanging too low. Now it seems that i need to purchase a new strap that i can use, not very cool since i paid big money for the guitar.

I've never heard of strap with any Ibanez guitar like say a 40th anniversary stratocaster would come with. As you have found out, straps are a personal thing so having one pre packaged with a guitar is not always a good idea. I've bought new jems, j.customs and recent prestiges and I have never received a strap. Maybe you are lucky

I'm suprised the strap was too short- I can get my 7620 stupidly, unplayably high with the strap I have it on.

However, are you sure this is a problem for Ibanez? Every guitar I've ever bought came without a strap, and usually the dealer offered to throw one in. Shouldn't this be a question for the dealer you bought it from?

When i checked from the www.ibanez.com site it said that year 2004 prestiges have this special accessory package included but the package has limited availability. The package includes high quality cable and the strap i was talking about. :P
