Does anyone know why Ibanez doesnt use the same headstock as the RD on their basses anymore? Or is that an LACS option only? Gassin for a 5 string ibby bass with that headstock
Unfortunately, the only RD 5 string bass pics i could find dont have the 5 in line headstock...if anyone else knows different, please let us know...cheers!!!!
All depends on what you are looking for. If someone has a good P and J, and wants something to play in a big hair band, then maybe Ibanez should consider it. Considering the RG series is 2nd selling to the Strat.
Now this is what im talking about!!! Its not a 5 in line, but its as close as it gets......so far!!!
Swirl, pyramids and a nice UVBass headstock decal!!! Maybe a pup upgrade and then rock out!!!!
Dude i just bought a black EXB445 from 3bay.........getting a universe decal made up, just bought disappearing pyramid inlay decal....(only because ive got other guitar projects under construction and its a cheap but effective way out) and want to put a hipshot bridge on it, but thats not a priority!! As for swirling, hmmmmm...anyone in oz offer their services to do a quick turn around swirl as i need the bass for recording????!!!!
I post up some pics when the bass arrives and give you guys and gals updates as they come!!!
As for the end of summer deadline....here in oz, thats like 9 months away at least....so thanks for heaps of time to complete build!!!
Thinking of doing a 4 string Jem bass...but im having a hard time justifying a bass i wont use......maybe that can be your project nato101010??? You have 12 months if you choose to accept your mission!!!
yeah hipshot will be cool!!! the decals are a tight squeeze on the headstock though......either have to get it scaled down or i lose the 'bass' part of bass universe!!!
