Me too! - My Iceman

I also had the same problems with my Iceman which I purchased new.I don't want to whine but here goes;
The paint is very thin and I can see the glue joints it also isn't very resistant , the binding on the neck is very sloppily done *and someplaces I had to cut it with an exacto , I literaly cut myself several times on the fret ends-which I had to hammer in and file down , replaced tuners because small bushings kept busting , I can never get the neck to keep straight (I took it to many guitar repair-shops).
I play it because it looks cool and that's about it.
Purchased a few Jacksons in pawn shops for about 1/4 of the price of this guitar and they are much better. A few guys that I jam with have some of these problems, Ibanez should really do something about this or else they are shooting themselves in the foot!

This is Blacklabel.

Me too!

Korean guitars are all like that....

I think Ibanez should stop using the name Ibanez on the lower end models and bring back eithaer the Cimar or another bran name to be used on these and exclusively use Ibanez on the Jap and US? models...

We have discussed this many times before. Ideologically this is a good idea, but totally unrealistic in the marketplace. All companies have an expanded lineup of guitars ranging from inexpensive to expensive. Ibanez would be foolish to remove their name from low-cost Korean/Chinese guitars as it will not help build brand name recognition. This is an important factor in any company or product's survival and profitability... glen
