Mr Hosono, do Ibanez make Strings ? Cause I bought a set are they fakes ? pics inside

Hi Mr Hosono, just want to ask if these are real Ibanez strings or fakes ???

I bought them at the computer center in Bangkok whilst on holidays.

are they real or fake

I don't think Ibanez makes guitar strings...... go check their web sites. Didn't guitar strings for sale in a computer center clue you in on anything?

no cause they were in giant guitar shops that sold Ibanez Jems, which were real

these were in legit guitar shops, that happen to be inside a shopping center with mainly computer shops, actually best shopping I ever did. Im going back next year for this DY jem if its still there

wasn't new but they were asking $900 AUS

my wife said no we were on a holiday and needed cash for hotels and booze and food. u know important stuff

but now she said I can buy one next time we go, if its still there or they got another one for the same price. etc...

You didn't say it was new...... I asked the question because you seem to believe Ibanez makes guitar strings just because they are along side a JEM in some guitar shop/computer store. So I was just checking to see if you were looking at some Chibanez junk or something.

I went and checked Several Ibanez web sites including the one for Thailand. No strings shown. They have picks, straps, tuners, cases, cables etc. but no strings. I've never seen any here in the U.S. either. How about in Australia?

Who knows though..... they may have them manufactured by someone else and packaged with Ibanez logo!

I've seen these strings. They are endorsed by Raul Ibanez the baseball player and every pack has a hard as a rock stick of gum in it.

I know when im looking at a chibanez thankyou very much..

If I seemed to believe Ibanez made strings I wouldn't have made this thread, I would have just used them and be done with it.

I remember Dimarzio used to make strings and stopped, so i thought maybe Ibanez did also.... It is possible you know !!!

So they may be old from the 80's or the 90's

Anyways id like to get the final Answer from Mr Hosono. Or someone who would know the companies history in production......

Ibanez doesn't make them, but they brand them. I have several sets here.

Hey thanks Rich, so they are Ibanez brand strings, granted there not made by Ibanez, but none the less, I paid $1AUS for the entire packet. They were on sale in a basket..... I have used them on 2 ibanez guitars and they haven't snapped yet !!
