RG 3120 Improvement - concerning the double edge...

Hi,

I think the RG 3120 is an awesome guitar but with the double edge vibrato it would be ten better than it is now ! Why Ibanez don't propose this as an option for example or sell the vibrato mounted with the guitar ??

Fabian- Ibanez does make a guitar similar (but not exactly) to the the 3120 with the Double Edge system. *In the US it's called the RG-2020X. *

Nice guitar, and to get the DE system at about $1000 USD, I'd call that a good deal.

Well, despite being labled 'Prestige' i don't consider it worth anything more than an RG-520 with a DoubleEdge stuck in it.

The RG-3120 on the otherhand is the TRUE Prestige guitar....and to me it only seems sensible that it should now be available with the DoubleEdge. Hell, just make another variation and call it RG-3120x or RG-3030x, but dont go labelling something as dull as the RG-2020x 'Prestige'.

So, that's my vote for an RG3120 with the DoubleEdge

That's right the RG 2020X isn't a true Prestige model: no flamed maple top, no Dimarzio pickups,... :angryfire:

So Ibanez please put the Double Edge into tis damned RG 3120 !!!!!!

Actually, Ibanez DO make a Prestige (maple top, etc.) with the double edge trem. Actually, if you want to get technical, it's a J-Custom.

But it's not for sale in the US.

FWIW, I would buy a RG3120 with double edge in a heartbeat. I might have to perform a transplant...

And while they're at it, they should add the option of a maple fretboard, a few more transparent finishes, the option of *flame or quilt top, and a matching headstock.
