RGT 7 String!

I can't be the only person here who would absolutely adore the concept of an neck through 7 string.

The RGT320Q is probably one of the finest instruments Ibanez have to offer, and to see that in a 7 string version would be incredible.

Would anyone else agree?

Well. Tab me up as well. I'd like an MIK RGT in the same level as the old MIK RG7321.

I'd love a MIJ one with an ebony board and a 26.5 scale length...

Re: RGT 7 String!

Glad to see such agreement.

I know if I'm ever an endorsee, I'm getting a RGT7 made. That'll be my signiature model, so make sure to buy loads of my albums so that I'll be popular enough to get a sig!

Re: RGT 7 String!

I would love to see a Mahogany ( available in the US ). Colors would be nice along with cool inlays or none at all. At risk of threatening the Universe line I absolutely love to see an RG7 with D,S,D pickup config available in both hard tail and trem!

Cool

Re: RGT 7 String!

I would love a 7 string in an S body made out of Maple and Ash to obtain all the frequencies(Low, Mid, Hi) and a neck-thru design for better sustain with the top of the line hardware and not generic stuff like Ibanez is doing now, and once and for all a WizardII 5-Piece Maple/Bubinga Neck but instead of 22 frets 24 in an S Hell Yeah!! and a fretboard not made of rosewood but a wood with no porous so it can hardened with time instead of getting weaker and muddy, that's my dream guitar...

You know, when making a suggestion, I think it's a good idea not to make some uber specific list of specs that look like you've filled out a custom order form.

Re: RGT 7 String!

Agreed. Threads like this one often become ridiculous and I tend to stop reading. Why not start a thread called "dream guitars" instead?

Re: RGT 7 String!

Yea I guess its true, but wouldnt it be great to see like.. the RGT42's, all their specs (maybe a colour change, but same Mahogany, flame top, Edge pro IIs, etc) as a 7 string? That would be amazing. I assume they could do that for the same price as the 6 string RGTs, with the exception of designing a cheap 7 string Trem to use.. But with designing that, could also make a Xiphos 7 string with same specs.. Those would be guitars on my radar if it ever happened..

An RGT with alder body and quilted maple top would be very great, imo
