SA160

I just played a new SA160...

- Korean-made
- mahogany w/veneer quilted maple top in amber
- Satelite trem (like a Wilkinson)
- 2-1-1 pups
http://www.ibanez.com/2001/s/specs/sa160qmam.html#

I usually pass by the Korean models, but being an S fan I picked up an SA160 this afternoon. *I liked...

- the thicker body...I've wanted an S body that had a bit more wood (a bit less tapered) that the standard S
- the trem...I'm an Edge devotee, but this thing seems to work fine, nice alternative
- the finish
- the neck...a little more like the Satriani in dimensions, although the back shape was kind of a D shape...felt nice

What I would like even more...

- Japan-made...call it an SA560
- a little thicker maple top
- Dimarzios, 2-1-2 (or 2-2)
- Lo-Pro
- then maybe even a Prestige model..SA1560?

SA160

I've seen the add for Matt Roberts's (from 3 doors down) custom SA160 with the twin HB and the Tunamatic/Stop Tail bridge.

I've not seen one in the shops, but if this was available and it had the 25.5" scale length, then it would be something I would investigate
