Re: Shocking Pink

+1

Start having shocking pink and desert yellow as colors for regular production models. LNG can stay special. :P

Re: Shocking Pink

I honestly don't think there's that many people that would like a bright neon pink guitar.

There's a reason so many Black LTD V-200's are sold.

Re: Shocking Pink

I might consider buying one, but pink would open the door for other loud colors. If they'll do pink, they'll do anything!!

And I'd like to see "anything!!" on prestige guitars. I don't know what the general feeling on the camo RG370s was, but why don't they do more designs like that on prestige models?

Overall, it seems like all the cool stuff remains on the lower-end models. I like my ghost sharktooth inlays, but why can't we have some real ones? How about an RG1550 with the maple fretboard and black sharktooth/fin inlays?

Re: Shocking Pink

If they don't bring it back - would you ever buy a body online that is painted like it? I have never seen one in person, but isn't it just Flourescent Pink? I paint guitars, and imagine this would be no problem to do...

Opinions? Or is there something special to be said about buying an actual Shocking Pink model? Maybe I should just do one and throw if up there and see if I get any bidders. Obviously stating it is not an official Shocking Pink.

Me too.

Nothing says 'real man' like being comfortable playing a pink guitar.

A classic color that, IIRC, Ibanez has never done. I've seen seafoam green Fenders, Danelectros, and others and it really looks sharp. I think the closest a modern Ibanez has come is fountain blue, which looks pretty cool too.
I love road flare red too.
It would be nice, though, to see more "classic" colors on an RG. Shoreline gold, candy green, or even jewel blue or jewel red on a Prestige. A pearl white RG1570 with a matching headstock might be cool too. Just daydreaming....
I think neons should be reserved for special limited runs. There's a few of us who dig them, but I don't think the average Joe guitar player wants them.

Re: Shocking Pink

This weekend I have a few bodies needing a new paint job. an S470, RG470, and a Jem (CNC'd bought off the web) - I'm thinking I'll do a shocking pink and see what people think. It will be for sale abviously, as that's what I do...I have the neck for the s470, so I'll match the headstock, and a black logo as well if I do the S series...any suggestions on which body might sell fastest?

Re: Shocking Pink

Just remember folks, this is our "official, unofficial request line to Ibanez" lets keep the posts on topic here and not go into "what guitars can I sell easiest?" in here.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Shocking Pink

i think ibanez would do well to do a limited release issue of some RG's in ridiculous colours.
